Stop for lunch a hotel by yet another lake Langano- a beautiful lake with its sandy shores. Continue driving to Wendo Genet is a beautiful resort area situated amid wooded hills, which are sources for the hot springs in which people enjoy taking an open-air bath. DAY 3: MONDAY: WONDOGENET-GOBA
Drive to the high country of the Bale mountains where, the Bale mountains national park which is home to unique wild life and several bird species. After picnic lunch, stop at Dinsho-the park ahead Quarters, to pay the entrance fees but more-to see games like the endemic mountain Nyala, Menelik’s Bushbuck and others like the Grey Duiker, Bohor Reedbuck, Warthogs and others. Continue on to Goba to stay over night at Goba Wabi Shebele hotel.

DAY 4: TUESDAY: GOBA
Setout with a picnic lunch to the high plateaus of Sanette(4000m. high) home to the shy Ethiopian Wolf and many bird species. This drive takes as to the impenetrable Harena forest-reputedly home to lions and the black Leopard. After picnic, drive to the Tulu Dimtu peak-the 3rd highest peak of Ethiopia with an altitude of 4,377 m. Drive to Goba in the late afternoon. O/N Goba wabi Shebele hotel

DAY 5: WEDNESDAY: GOBA
Drive to the Sof Omar caves-which were formed by river Weib on its long jorney to the Indian ocean. The cozy interiors of the caves have been used as holy shrines for the past hundreds of years by the Muslim community living in the country and abroad. Torches are handy here, though they may prove useless at some dark points of the caves. After picnic,drive back to Goba. O/N Goba Wabi shebele hotel.

DAY 6: THURSDAY: GOBA-AWASA
Drive to Awassa, situated close to a lake of same name again rich in bird life. O/N Awassa in a hotel.

DAY 7: FRIDAY: AWASA-YABELLO
In the morning, after a brief stop at the fish market, drives some 300km to Yabelo. Stop at Wenago to visit the Tutu Fella Stelae Park. The stones are carved to symbolize the sex of the dead. O/N Yabelo in a hotel.

DAY 8: SATURDAY: YABELLO
Drive some 80km down south,turn off from the main road to the left, and drive further 13km to reach at the village called El Sod. Visit the’the house of salt’ by hiking down 2km which is a deep crater lake. Drive back to and stop at Dublok to visit the ‘singing well’. Continue driving back to Yabelo and visit the Saturday Market. O/N local hotel or camping.

DAY 9: SUNDAY: YABELLO-KONSO
Drive via Konso to stay overnight camping at Woito. Stop at Konso for lunch and continue driving to Woito. Reach Woito and spend the time with the Tsemay people at their Sunday Market. O/N camping.

DAY 10: MONDAY: KONSO-TURMI
Drive to Turmi. Visit the Hamar people here at Turmi and their famous Monday Market. O/N camping at Turmi.

DAY 11: TUESDAY: TURMI-OMORATE-TURMI
set out with picnic lunch and drive southwest to Omorate. Visit the everyday market and the Geleb, one of the nomadic people of the Omo region. Drive back to Turmi and continue to Dimeka to visit the Tuesday market. O/N camping.

DAY 12: WEDNESDAY: TURMI-MURULLE
Drive to Murule on the way visiting to the Karo village at Kolcho and continue driving to Murule campsite. After lunch drive to Kangate and cross the Omo River to visit the Bume tribes. O/N camping at Murule.

DAY 13: THURSDAY: MURULLE-KEY AFER-JINKA
Early in the morning drives northward to Jinka. On the way visit the Benna and Ari tribes. On the way stop at key-Afer and visit the famous Thursday Market. Lunch en route. Reach at Jinka for an over night stay at a local hotel.

DAY 14: FRIDAY: JINKA-MAGO
Drive across Mago national park to the banks of the Omo River to visit the Mursi, one of the major interests in the Omo valley. Set out with a picnic lunch to the Mursi village. Drive back to the campsite and in the late afternoon explore the Mago park, and see some games .O/N camping at Mago campsite.

DAY 15: SATURDAY: JINKA-KONSO
After an early breakfast drives back to Jinka. Visit the Saturday Market at Jinka; continue drive further northeast to the Konso en route seeing the Tsemay and Konso people .O/N Konso local hotel.

DAY 16: SUNDAY: KONSO-ARBAMINCH
After breakfast, drive to ‘New York’ and Machekie, the famous Konso village. Walk the trails that snake through the homestead and somehow experience their way of living. The Konso people are known for their close-knit homesteads terracing of their hilly farmlands and wonderful wooden artifacts. Back to Konso and continue driving further to Arbaminch. Check in to hotel, after having your lunch and relax, go out for a boat trip over Lake Chamo to the crocodile market and the Hippos

DAY 17: MONDAY: ARBAMINCH
set out with picnic lunch to the Nech Sar national park to see games like Zebra, Gazelle, Kudu, the endemic Swaine’s Hartebeest, Dik-diks, and Crocodiles by the shores of lake Chamo. After picnic lunch, drive to high countries of the Dorze people who are known for their weaving and unique egg shaped houses. Visit also their colorful market at Chencha. Return to Arbaminch in the late afternoon. O/N hotel.

DAY18: TUESDAY: ARBAMINCH-ADDIS ABABA

Drive back to Addis.

DAY 4: GOBA
Full day trip with picnic lunch in the Bale national park with its vast moorlands, virgin woodlands, pristine mountain streams and alpine climate. The Bale Mountains remain an untouched beautiful world. Rising to a height of more than 4000 meters, the range borders the southern high lands of Ethiopia. Mount Tulu Dimtu, the highest peak in southern Ethiopia, reaches 4377 meters. The establishment of the 2400 Sq. Kms. of Bale Mountains National park was crucial to the survival of the Ethiopian Red fox or Abssynian Wolf which is endemic to Ethiopia only, the mountain Nyala, and Meneliks bush buck. Many forest birds like the endemic thick billed Raven are to be seen in and around the park. The Bale Mountains offer also some fine high altitude horse and foot trekking. DAY 5: GOBA.
After breakfast, day excursion to sofomar Caves. The caves are unique for its River flowing into it. Picnic lunch and wondering around the region for more sight seeing. Late afternoon drive back to Goba Ras hotel. Dinner and overnight Goba Ras hotel.

DAY 6: GOBA – SODERE
After breakfast drive to sodore to arrive for lunch and afternoon bathing and enjoy the natural hot spring and Awash River flowing through the resort.

DAY 7: SODERE – AWASH
Drive to Awash National Park, which is the oldest and most developed wildlife, reserve in Ethiopia. Featuring the 1800 m high Fantalle Volcano, extensive mineral Hot Springs, and extraordinary volcanic formations. Day 4:  DINSHO – GOBA     

After an early breakfast, head out a full day exploration of Bale mountain National Park. Begin at Gassay valley, which provides a good morning s` wild life watching. Then trek down to shaya gorge, it is the place where you will find Bohr and Menelik Bush buck and enjoy the ever-lasting scenery. Late afternoon drive to Goba town. O/NCamping at Wabe Shebelle

Day 5:  GOBA – SANETI     

After breakfast, drive to Saneti plateau. The drive takes about 2and half hour, through the loveliest mountain scenery. On your way, you will come across the Ethiopian wolves and rodents   will be seen scampering for their burrows. Continue along the road, you will encounter the Harena forest, which is known the most distinctly the stereotypical images of Ethiopia.  Day 6: GOBA – SOF-OMAR     

Take an early morning drive to the mysterious Sofu –Omar cave. It is 115 km far from Goba. The caves were carved out of the limestone by the Weyb River, which travels about 1.5 km under ground. Dodola

The 4 forest camps are at an altitude between 3,080 and 3,460 metres above sea level. Each camp can be reached from Dodola in half a day. Thus, your trip can start in the afternoon but no later than 2 p.m. Setting off early in the morning is preferable, especially during the rains. The distance between camps is 5 to 18km. It takes between a few hours and half a day of walking or riding to travel from one camp to the other. This allows you to spend every night in a different camp. If you do not have time for all 4 camps, the guide will help select the ones most suited to your personal preferences. Also, tours of just one night with two half days for ascending and descending are possible.

There is also one tented camp (Cangity) situated at the edge of the forest with very beautiful scenery. The camp is only half and hour’s drive from Dodola and then only 20 minutes by foot or horse. A group of more than 16 people and up to 5 families can be accommodated at the camp. Your trip to this site can start any time before 5 p.m. from Dodola town.

Last but not least, short, half-day, trips from Dodola town to nearby attractions like the Lensho River or the Shebelle Water Falls are highly recommended.

Adaba

The Adaba destination is situated 55km from the Bale Mountain National Park (BMNP) head office, Dinsho. There are 3 tented campsites and one hut at an altitude between 3,000 and 3,600 metres above sea level. Each camp can be reached from Adaba in half a day, but it is better to start in the morning. The distance to the nearest camp from Adaba town is 7km and from each camp to the next is from 11 to 20km. There are different routes depending on the preference of the visitors.

As you travel through the forest you will come to two exciting waterfalls (Kille hada berite and Meribo falls) where there is a high likelihood of spotting wild animals, particularly Ethiopian Wolves (Canis simensis).

One can start trekking from one side (Adaba or Dodola) and can continue to the next destination. To make an entire trip to the mountains (Adaba and Dodola), prior arrangements from the starting point are required, as the guides must change for each destination. Efforts are underway to link this destination to the BMNP

National Museum

Exhibits numerous relics and archeological findings from prehistoric times to modern day, the skeleton of the early hominid “Lucy” which is 3.5 million years old and the fossil Ramadis – Ramadis Kabala. (5.8 million years old) are very historic.

The Ethnological Museum

It was part of the late Emperor Haileselassie’s former e Ethiopian crafts, culture and art. The art section contains an extensive collection of well displayed classical, religious, icons and artifacts as well as more recent paintings.

Mt Entoto & St. Mary Museum

It provides a panoramic view of Addis Ababa, Entoto Mariam church, the museum & St. Raguel’s church, are all of great historical values.

The Selassie Cathedral

It is the best cathedral in Addis Ababa. It is also the burial ground of the late Emperor Haile Selassie.

Day 4: JINKA – MAGO – JINKA (80 km)

Proceed to Mago National Park and visit the wild animals, sight seeing and the  Mursi people on the other side of the park and admire the women inserts a round clay plate to their lips, mens with different number of scarification based on the killing of wild animals or enemies. Late in the afternoon drive back to Jinka for overnight.

Day 5: JINKA – TURMI (128 km)

Drive to Turmi, visit the very beautiful hammer people with unique hair styles, different cultural traits, ornamental traditions and more. Visit some of very interesting villages and folk dances, if it happens you will see the Hammer marriage ceremonies with unique celebrations, such as bull jumping, and many others, overnight Turmi in a hotel.

Day6 : TURMI – OMORATE – TURMI (200 km)

In the late morning visit the Monday market at Turmi,(if it meets up) in the afternoon drive to Omorate and cross the Omo River by Local boat and visit the Geleb (Dasenech) tribes to see their unique house and their ornaments as well as their life style, sight seeing of the Omo River in late afternoon back to Turmi for overnight in a local hotel.

Day 7 : TURMI – KARO – TURMI (105 km)

Morning drive to Karo, visit their village of kortcho, with sightseeing the  magnificent view over the Omo River. Karo people are famous for their extravagant hairstyle in men and for the different ornaments and painting all over their body for men, women and children, Overnight Turmi.

Day 8: TURMI – ARBAMINCH (261 km)

Day 9: ARBAMINCH – AWASSA (275 km)

DAY 4 : ARBAMINCH – JINKA (225 km) 

Drive to Jinka on the way visit the interesting Konso people and their houses and way of life also the Derashe, Ari, Benna and Tsemay tribes and their way of dressing and life style, their unique culture and tradition, Overnight Jinka in a hotel.

Day 5: JINKA – MAGO – JINKA (80 km)

Proceed to Mago National Park and visit the wild animals, sight seeing and the  Mursi people on the other side of the park and admire the women inserts a round clay plate to their lips, mens with different number of scarification based on the killing of wild animals or enemies. Late in the afternoon drive back to Jinka for overnight or camping on the Neri river side at Mago National Park.

Day 6: JINKA – TURMI (128 km)

Drive to Turmi, visit the very beautiful hammer people with unique hair styles, different cultural traits, ornamental traditions and more. Visit some of very interesting villages and folk dances, if it happens you will see the Hammer marriage ceremonies with unique celebrations, such as bull jumping, and many others, overnight Turmi in a hotel or Camping.

Day 7 : TURMI

In the late morning visit the Monday market at Turmi, in the afternoon drive to Omorate and cross the Omo River by Local boat and visit the Geleb (Dasenech) tribes to see their unique house and their ornaments as well as their life style, sight seeing of the Omo River in late afternoon back to Turmi for overnight in a hotel or camping.

Day 8: TURMI – KONSO (171 km)

DAY 9: KONSO – YABELO (155 km)

Drive to Yabelo lunch en rout, dinner and overnight Yabelo in a hotel.

some 80km down south,turn off from the main road to the left, and drive further 13km to reach at the village called El Sod. Visit ‘the house of salt’ by hiking down 2km which is a deep crater lake. Drive back to and stop at Dublok visit the ‘singing well’. Continue driving back to Yabelo and visit the Saturday Market (if it occurs). O/N in a hotel.

Day 11: YABELO – AWASSA (275 km)

Early in the morning drive via Dilla to Awassa, on the way visit the Tutu Fella Stelae Park. The stones are carved to symbolize the sex of the dead. Overnight Awassa in a hotel.

Day 12: AWASSA – ADDIS (270 km)
